Fitness Blender reviewFitness Blender is a free online home workout program created by husband and wife team and personal trainers, Daniel Segars and Kelli Segars. Both have worked in the fitness industry for several years. According to the official website, the Segars created Fitness Blender because they believe that everyone should have access to fitness, no matter their income.

At the time of this review, there are more than 90 full-length exercise videos that are available on the site. All of the videos can be accessed for free. The website is extremely user friendly and easy to navigate. It has been designed to allow users to effectively browse the different exercise videos offered by giving them the option of searching for specific workouts. For instance, you can sort workouts by choosing:

Difficulty level – you can pick a number from 1 to 5 (1 being the easiest)
Body Focus – choose what part of your body you would like to target (ex. core, upper body, lower body, etc.)
Training Type – select an exercise style such as yoga, pilates, balance/agility, cardiovascular, strength training, etc.
Equipment needed – choose the equipment you’d like to use for your exercises (ex. bench, exercise band, mat, medicine ball, yoga block, etc.) There is even a “no-equipment” option you can check off

Also, you can enter the length of time you’d like to workout and indicate the number of calories you would like to burn when searching for exercises.

Thus, regardless of whether you are looking for beginner, intermediate, or advanced workouts, you will find something to suit your needs. In fact, Fitness Blender even offers workouts designed for kids and also has a video for mom and baby.

Fitness Blender offers four 8-Week Fat Loss Programs. According to the official site, most people lose 16-24 pounds when following one of the 8-week programs. In addition to losing weight with these programs, you can also better your cardiovascular health, gain greater flexibility, increase endurance, build lean muscle and strength, and feel more energized. It is important to point out that while the exercises within these programs are achievable the programs are not easy.

In addition, on top of offering a free fitness program, Fitness Blender also offers free health and fitness tips and recipes. They also provide meal plans created by registered nutritionists and dieticians to help members meet their weight loss, weight gain, or weight maintenance goals. There are three plans – one for omnivores, one for vegetarians, and one for vegans.

Although it costs nothing to become a Fitness Blender member, donations are welcome and all profits received are used to fund more workout videos that will be offered free of charge. Finally, keep in mind that while Fitness Blender may be a feasible option for people of all ages and fitness levels, it is important that you know what your fitness level is before you engage in any workout to prevent injury.
