Green Stinger reviewGreen Stinger is a non-prescription diet pill by American-based Schwartz Pharmaceuticals. It is marketed as an extreme fat burner and compared to other weight loss supplements on the market that use the term “extreme” as a marketing ploy for their product, in the case of Green Stinger, the use of the term isn’t over-exaggerated. The reason is that it contains many powerful stimulants including ephedra, synephrine, and three sources of caffeine (guarana, kola nut, and yerba mate) which definitely makes it an extreme stimulant, to say the least.

Before discussing the dangers of taking Green Stinger, let’s first take a look at what it claims to be able to do for those who take it for weight loss. This thermogeinc claims that it can help you burn fat like no other product ever has. Supposedly, those who take it can experience enhanced metabolism, increased energy, mood improvement, appetite suppression and massive fat loss.

According to the supplement facts sheet for the product that was available at the time that this review was written, the formula contains: ephedra extract, citrus aurantium, synephrine extract, yohimatrix (two versions of yohimbine HCl), phenylethylamine HCl, acacia rigidula, Theobroma CoCoa, green tea extract, naringen, pure white willow bark extract, evodiamine and TriENRG (kola nut, guarana extract and yerba mate).

Users are directed to take 2 capsules, two to three times per day, but are not instructed as to when to take them or how to take them (ex. on an empty stomach, with food, etc.)

Although none of these ingredients have ever been proven effective for weight loss, the stimulants in this formula are likely to boost energy levels, which could help to improve metabolism and fat burning (which is not the same as weight loss), especially when combined with physical activity. Be that as it may, due to the quantities and types of stimulants in Green Stinger, the risks of taking this diet pill far outweigh its potential benefits.

To start, the poisonous plant ephedra has been banned from use – in any quantity or form – in all dietary supplements in the U.S. by the FDA. This ban has solidly been in place since 2006. Therefore, in the U.S. (and in several other countries that have banned ephedra), Green Stinger is an illegal dietary supplement that is both illegal to sell and to purchase. Ephedra was banned for causing severe cardiovascular effects and being linked to at least 100 deaths.

Ephedra, synephrine, and caffeine are all marketed as powerful thermogeincs. Each affects the central nervous system, increasing heart rate and raising blood pressure. Combined, their effects, both good (ex. raised metabolism and increased alertness) and bad (ex. insomnia, jitters, heart palpitations, anxiety, headache, etc.) are enhanced. While this may sound beneficial in terms of fat burning, the adverse effects that can result are highly dangerous – even for healthy individuals – and can be deadly.

The FDA has also warned that combining synephrine and caffeine increases the risk of severe side effects, such as increased blood pressure, fainting, stroke and heart attack.

You should avoid taking Green Stinger and any other product containing any from of ephedra or ephedrine for weight loss. This product is not safe. It contains an illegal substance and a dangerous combination of ingredients.
