Power Half Hour reviewPower Half Hour is a DVD-based fitness program starring famous fitness instructor and consultant, Tony Horton, and is produced by Beachbody, a company well known for producing numerous at-home video-based fitness programs. Horton and Beachbody have also collaborated to produce other fitness products including Power 90 and P90X.

Power Half Hour is a relatively uncomplicated fitness program that has been designed to help with weight loss, tone the body, increase lean muscle mass and strength, and enhance cardiovascular endurance. The workouts that come with the program are designed to target the shoulders, arms, chest, abdominals, glutes, and thighs. The workouts are performed at a fairly high intensity level.

As its name suggests, the workouts in this program take only 30 minutes to complete. Therefore, it may be ideal for those who do not have a lot of time to workout, but who are still interested in achieving notable physical benefits from short periods of exercise.

With that in mind, however, since the workouts are only 30 minutes in length, you will need to make sure that you perform them with a high degree of intensity and on a regular basis. Otherwise, you are unlikely to achieve desired results. It should also be noted that while Power Half Hour can be followed on its own, it was primarily designed to provide supplemental workouts that support Horton’s Power 90 fitness program.

The program comes with five workouts: Ab Burner Workout, Arm Toner Workout, Bun Shaper Workout, Thigh Trimmer Workout, and the Power Stretch Workout. It also comes with a Nutritional Guide, 30-Day Power Tracker, and Workout Calendar.

At the time this review was written, the Power Half Hour fitness program could easily be found and purchased online on the official Beachbody website for $39.90 (split up into two payments of $19.95) plus shipping. It also came with a 30-day money-back guarantee. That being said, some of the exercises in the program require a resistance band and/or a set of dumbbells, which are not included and will need to be purchased separately

Always remember that it is important that you never engage in any form of exercise that is beyond your fitness level. If you are not sure if a certain fitness program is safe or right for you, it is in your best interest to first consult with your doctor or seek the advice of an experienced and licensed fitness expert or trainer.
